Some things Whirr, Keetje Mans, 2015
I like to look at the world from this window at my studio, even if the world is not really there, or doesnt enter my thoughts. The window is surrounded by ripped and cut pictures from magazines, collections of photo’s and patterns, fabrics and ornaments, from my personal collection, ripped out of books, from the world wide web, gathered through the years. In this installation they are combined at this wall until i only see a pattern of associative campfire romantics, punky black grammar, a concoction of juvenalia of a teenagers bedroom and icebergs at the northpole, with a spiderweb of words dusting all photo’s.
A whirr of thoughts patterns and colours.
