The series documents a particular aspect of the labor migration phenomenon that has taken proportions in Romania. It has become common practice for migrants to build huge houses they never get to use in their home villages. The houses stand as an indicator of their new social status, their values and expectations, but also as a warranty of their return to Romania someday.
