This work, 30 photographs and text pieces based on conversations with residents, is a record of my immediate neighbourhood in 2011, a block of 30 flats in Fairchild House on Frampton Park Estate in East London.
Each flat is represented by a portrait photograph or a written description of its residents. These descriptions were taken from conversations with my neighbours and reveal a shared account of the neigbourhood.
Together, these photographs and texts explore how people relate and connect to each other within a community. They reveal the role architecture plays in these relationships.
